1,000,000 Gamerscore - May 14th 2020

The journey to one million gamer score...

Special Thanks - 200RS
First and foremost I would like to thank my wife and brother from another mother, Bupinder! I would not have attempted one million gamer score or any achievements if it was not for him introducing me to the xbox 360 and the whole achievement scoring system. I was instantly hooked and found myself trying to get as many as possible...the sound of them popping was so damn addicting! Gaming, achievements mainly, became a topic of most of our conversations and everyday I could not wait to get home from work, pick up the controller and send a party invite to Bupinder. It became a daily routine, as long as xbox party chat was working that day?
Bupinder and my wife (Frances) have always been a huge support system for me in more ways than I could ever thank them for! My poor wife, lol. Having to hear my gamer talk and endure my highly competitive nature about everything I am involved with. I am one of those people who likes to motivate themselves over any little thing and everything...negative or positive. My wife does not know much at all in regards to gaming or achievements, only that it is something I have a passion for and she respects that as well as supports me. The Time, the drive, dedication it takes to game the way I do she finds exhausting, just watching, but she has never complained! she just keeps me fed and hydrated so I dont die on her, lol. If that is not love then I dont know what is?

The Inspiration - 200RS
For many of us we have things or people that inspire us. For some Michael Jordan, Wayne Gretzky, Muhammed Ali, etc... As mentioned I am very competitive. Being introduced to the achievement scoring system meant I had to know everything about it including who had the most? How much they had? Where they were from? Which games they played? With that being said, it was without question I was going to stumble across these guys named Stallion83 and SMRNOV! In the achievement hunting world they were larger than life to me. They were popping up everywhere! Whenever I was googling gamer score or achievements Stallion83 and SMRNOV would appear. Stallion83 was a little more prominent at the time, especially with those corny but clever YouTube videos, lol He was everywhere though, internet, YouTube, gaming magazines, Guinness Book of Records, and podcasts! SMRNOV has always seemed a little more low key and humble to me but you always knew who was right behind Stal in the leaderboards and would eventually surpass him in 2019. Early on it was Stallion83's demeanour that quickly influenced me. Maybe because he was more in the spotlight but watching quite a few of his streams from day one on Xbox One, I just felt I related to him a little more. Absolutely no disrespect to my fellow countryman SMRNOV who I have a lot of admiration and respect for, he is after all my Canadian hero in gaming and right up there with Mario Lemieux, Wayne Gretzky, George Chuvalo, obviously in different categories! SMRNOV was like a quiet achievement assassin not only scoring at a ridiculous pace but completing games as well! These two guys were the driving force behind what achievement hunting meant to me. Unknowing to both of these legends they were inspiring a new face like me to achievement hunting, as I am sure they have inspired many of you reading this.
I became so entrenched in achievement hunting that I would listen to a podcast at work called, "The Gamer Score Popcast" back tracking and listening to every episode that was made and like so many saddened when they folded early in my gamer score years. What a great cast of characters on that podcast! Tons of laughs and of course game talk with Stallion83, Pigimus Prime, Rand al Thor 19, BlackSilv4 (Sillva), and Omega Deez. This podcast was full of legends in achievement hunting at the time, I was definitely a fan boy. I would have never thought I was going to become friends with such a great group of guys. Thank you all for being such an ispiration to me over the six years to reach my million and taking the time to game with me, just helping a brother out!

Why I game the way I do - 200RS
Sooo...besides Bupinder introducing me to Xbox 360 and the influence both, Stallion83 and SMRNOV have had on me achievement hunting. Gaming, along with being active in sports seriously helped this ghetto, hood boi out of trouble. I grew up pretty rough at home and in some of the toughest neighbourhoods in Toronto, Canada. Its one thing to grow up in those neighbourhoods but I was heavily involved in those communities in a non-positive way. I wont go into a sad story of my struggles but I have always strived for better in my life. My upbringing became a fuel for my competitive drive, my successes in life, and the need to be liked. Unfortunately I have a serious side to me and not always fun to be around. Gaming is a release for me and always has. Very much like many of you who envelope yourselves in a world different from the real world, a place just to be happy, laugh, and enjoy yourselves. Gaming, streaming, and podcasts kept me busy and happy. It was never that I had a lot of time on my hands to do these things. I made time and like everything I do I wanted to give it 100% whenever I could.

Helping Hand - 200RS
Along the way to One million gamer score I have had a lot of support from all of you in the gaming community, especially on True Achievements. I want all of you to know that I appreciate it tremendously and I ensure you that it would be hard to find someone more grateful as I am to all of you! From the follows/friend requests, to the positive comments, and private messages, you are all so appreciated! I can not thank the guide contributors enough as you are all a major factor in my gamer score and completions to get me this milestone in my life. Thank you Billzumanati, Kitty Skies and The Hidden Levels, Maka91, you have all helped me so much and I consider you all friends. I have a lot of respect for you guys, taking your valuable time to contribute back to the gaming community while at the same time gaming as you do and maintaining your personal lives. You are all legendary in this shit! Thank you again! I would also like to thank the many game developers who have provided me with game codes over the years. It has been very helpful and lets be honest, this passion is not a cheap one so I am very thankful to the many Devs and people who have shown me love on that level. Thank you to The Hidden Levels and XBLAFans for putting up with me streaming on thier respected Twitch channels. Omega Deez, Bond 007, Nikibaby219, and Paintball Girl for the podcast fun on Done! Unlocking... and These Nuts Gamecast...I loved every minute of it! thank you Kitty Skies, Frodo86, Emerald Axer, and Mephisto4thewin for being great guys and friends. No matter how long time has elapsed between our last convos, we could just pick up where we last left off as if time has not passed at all. true ride or dies!

The Achievement Selection - 200RS
So why the F*@k did I choose, "Cluster Buster" in Hexic HD to get my one million gamer score? I wanted to dedicate my million as an homage to the legends in the achievement hunting game. These influential gamers started their gamer tags popping this very achievement in one of the first games ever to have achievements back when it all began, on November 22, 2005. Their legacy began...
Stallion83 - Cluster Buster, Hexic HD - Nov. 22/2005
SMRNOV - Cluster Buster, Hexic HD - Dec. 12/2005
K4rn4ge - Cluster Buster, Hexic HD - Dec. 12/2005
Rand al Thor 19 - Cluster Buster, Hexic HD - Jan. 19/2006
So I felt I would use the very achievement which began so many gamers profiles and ignited the achievement/gamer score craze. The very first achievement I popped after scoring my one million milestone I chose, "Green Thumb" in the game Neverout, why? With some legacies they come to an end. In may 2019, completion legend "Celtic Force" sadly passed away. He did not have the opportunity to complete the last game he played; Neverout. So one year later I popped the achievement as a tribute to Celtic. Popping that achievement also gave me the first completion after the million, beginning a journey towards my two million gamer score goal and giving me a little personal closure to our newly formed friendship. Don't get me wrong, we were not super close and I did not know him very well outside some of or conversations. He was one of those influential gamers I respected a genuine great guy who took the time to acknowledge my accomplishments, despite the fact he had way more of his own, been there...done that. I remember messaging him after one of his completions, calling him a beast, lol. His response was, "Thanks. Beasts recognize beasts!" Damn! I went on to kill some gamer score after that dropping 56K in the next two months, from just a little comment like that from him. Thank you Celtic Force for everything! R.I.P. homie.

DLC - The Conclusion and a new journey begins - 200RS
So if you took the time to read this, you may have noticed the 200RS attached to each paragraph. You just earned yourself 1000 Respect Score with an additional 200RS for completing this DLC and taking the time out of your valuable lives to read my blog. Thank you all so much, for all of your support over the years and the great Xbox community on True Achievements. If my mentors took the time to read this as well, thank you again for being such a positive influence on myself and so many others that you may or may not be aware of. As the gamer score leader boards change and new gamers strive for top spot they will be there for another generation of achievement hunters and I hope they all have the positive influence that I have had the pleasure of witnessing first hand!

Happy gaming everyone - IrishWarrior022
